Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Unless…we can get it into our collective minds that we are a United States of America, not a black or white America, nor a red or blue America…then Humpty Dumpty no more.

And if money and honor continue to hopelessly collide, black and white continue to spar, regional and national power structures continue to point fingers, then the faultlines of race, gender, ethnicity, and class will never go away…then Humpty Dumpty no more.
